Are Your Guides Going Silent?

What to do when you can’t get in touch with your guides

Working with guides is one of the most fun, informative and awe-inspiring activities on the spiritual path. Not only does it bring in guidance but it helps us remember that this physical reality isn't all there is.

But sometimes, it can be hard to actually connect with our guides. Whether you are new to connecting to guides or have done so for a while, it can be puzzling when you aren’t getting responses.

Here are a few reasons why that may be happening, all from my own blunders, I hope that my many mishaps can help you avoid some of your own!

You are not tuned in

One of the biggest reasons you aren't hearing your guides is because you have some type of distraction going on. Maybe you are too tired or have too much going on mentally or emotionally to communicate right now.

If that is the case try another time, chances are it won't repeat. If it does take some time to create a space to connect. Make sure your phone is off, you are well rested, and you won’t be interrupted. Just like if someone were to visit you, you want the space you and your guide will be in to be welcoming and calm. This helps you sense the guide and receive accurate information.

Your guide is taking a break

When I first started working with guides I thought they were always available, after all, they don’t need to sleep or run errands. I had a lot to learn. Guides do a lot of work, a lot. Depending on the guide their duties may be very involved.

However, when a guide needs a break it’s not typically because of a busy schedule, it’s because they need to step away. It might be due to them being overwhelmed, or they may want to seek counsel from their advisors. You will always have another guide ready and willing to help you if this is the case.

You are asking the same questions over and over

Similar to when you are working with an oracle card deck and you pull one too many clarification cards, you start to notice the connection fizzles and the cards aren't relevant anymore.
