Feared by some, welcomed by others,

You are eternal, present everywhere.

A reminder of days past,

A harbinger of days to come.

Keenly intelligent,

Strong of memory,

Winged one of mercy.

You are evermore entwined with

Everything we know.

Beach, tree, lake, city street,

You are with us.
