6 Outdated names and phrases and their meanings
Sometimes I refer to something and my Zillenial (Zoomer and Millennial cusp) looks at me with a smirk. He knows what I mean but he also knows, no one younger than my generation (Gen X ) uses them. It got me thinking, how many things am I saying that are no longer used?
It took some time, and I will admit I researched it a bit, to compile a list of five names/phrases that are no longer being used. If you are still using them, it might explain why you get a strange look from the younger people in your life.
It is fascinating to watch common names for things change over time. Some of these names and phrases might be US-specific. I grew up on the west coast, and it's also possible they are regional. Still, no matter where you are, you have probably heard them before.
TV Dinner
Today we say frozen dinners, they have become smaller in portion size, and there is an attempt at healthier options.
