I had the same experience in a parking lot several years ago. Only the car was a big SUV and it seemed like it would crunch into my driver's side door and I was certain I'd be crushed with it. It all happened in slow motion. No matter how much honking you do, they dont hear you. Luckily I only had a scratch on my door.

I hope your mirror is a quick fix. Distracted drivers are a serious problem causing incidents like this and more serious accidents too. I'm glad you are okay, that's what matters, and your car didn't sustain too much damage. That particular parking lot is a nightmare, I never liked it.
