I Just Bought a Car with Carvana- Here’s What it’s Like
The pros and the cons of online car shopping
I was in the market for a new car but dreaded going to a lot, something about the process makes me feel like I’m being taken advantage of. I was also looking for a place that would deliver my new car and pick up my old one.
I researched a lot of places. Carvana, Driveway, Cargurus, Cars.com, Carmax, and a few local dealers. Since I had a trade-in I was looking for a place that didn't lowball my old car and had a new car that I actually wanted.
The research went on for about two months as I slowly debated which place was the right one. Carvana offered a good price on my old car and had some cars I wanted. Let me add, this is not a buyer's market right now for cars, but my old car was not working out for me and it was past time to get a new one.
Uber fees were piling up and the expense of a new (used) car came out to be close to the monthly uber fees. Not to mention the rental car fees which were astronomical the two times I rented one.
