It sounds like he was a newbie.

And I know that when I listen to writing advice, either here, on YouTube, in my writing groups, or wherever I run across it, I’ll listen and take the advice with a grain of salt, knowing that not everyone who presents themselves as a guru deserves the title.

It sounds like he was a newbie. I bet he just wanted to get YouTube hits and he thought he could learn all there is to now about medium in a couple weeks and make videos. Ha! We know that's not true. Great story!!
