Living Life With ADHD From a Spiritual Perspective
I ask my guides for help a lot!
I haven't always known I had ADHD, for most of my life I didn't know in fact. Once I did, it created a sort of sonic boom in my consciousness. Oh, yes, that’s why. Everything became very clear.
The struggles I had in school, with relationships, why I always feel different than others. Why I am often misread, and why I cannot for the life of me stay on one topic. You should see how many tabs I have open right now on my laptop.
Thankfully, I have been on the spiritual path for a good two decades and it has unknowingly provided a lot of relief from my ADHD symptoms. No, I can't meditate in stillness as long or effectively as others, but I have learned ways to meditate that work for me.
I am an intuitive reader and I believe that my neurodiversity helps me with that. It makes my mind more agile, open to new information, and able to let go of the everyday mind and move to something beyond that. It also makes it easier for me, I feel, to sense/hear guides.
Developing spiritually helps anyone find an identity outside of the body alone. It teaches to connect with the soul, with guides, the divine and this allows a sense of connectivity and oneness. Something that can feel hard to have when you are neurodiverse.
