I have grappled with this in my personal life. I am skeptical by nature, and while I believe in life after death, I don’t automatically believe signs are anything more than coincidences. It has to be a loud and clear sign for me to know it is from spirit.
A personal message from beyond
Several years ago my best friend lost her mother. I was devasted for my friend, I was also hit hard by her mom's passing, she had been like a mom in many ways to me too. I was visiting my friend, staying at her house. One day, I was alone in the apartment and needed a needle and thread.
I had sensed my friend's mom was around so I asked her out loud if she knew where my friend kept her sewing kit. I was directed to a closet, reached my hand in, and pulled one out.
Later I told my friend about it, and she gave me a surprised look, she said the sewing kit wasn't hers, it was her mom's.
