Why Does Karmic Love Feel So Right?
It’s exciting, it’s dramatic, it’s…toxic
Have you ever watched a friend fall in love with someone you knew was all wrong for them? I’m going through that experience right now. I see red flags galore and she doesn't want to hear it. There’s no getting through to her. I can see what she is blind to so plainly. Ultimately, I have to resign myself to letting her go through the experience, it’s something she is meant to do.
It’s karmic.
It made me remember my own karmic relationships. Ouch. Those relationships where you fall hard and fast. Where the highs are astronomical but the lows are so bad you don’t know if you’ll ever recover. It's exciting, it’s dramatic, it’s…toxic.
There are numerous reasons why we fall for people that are all wrong for us. Childhood wounds resurfacing to heal, codependent tendencies, low self-esteem, and a need to rescue or be rescued to name a few. Another reason is simply, karma.
Karmic relationships aren’t punishment
I dont mean that we are being punished for some evil deed we did ages ago. Karma is a balancer so yes, sometimes we will go through things in life from past lives that seek to balance what we did. Not outright punish us. That's a concept people have mistaken about…
