Yes! I've been on medium for two years and I have never seen things make so little sense here. My earnings dropped from an avaerge of $15 a day to like $7.

The new stats are nonsensical, we should not have to dig for reads and views. I have noticed that writers who are in groups that read and comment each others stories are doing okay through these new changes. I think the bottom line is medium wants this to be more of a social media platform where things like claps/follows/comments are key rather than people actually reading our stories.
